- If a higher degree of finish is desired to the metal, these can be brought to a mirror finish, it's either your elbow grease or mine to get there...........for a mirror finish ........add $175.00.
- -This blade forged, ground, filed, sanded, tempered and finished to this level is...... $275.00.
- -The whole knife mounted as shown...Brass cross guard and ferrule, wood scales....$495.00 -A fancy leather sheath with brass tip and top mountings is $75.00 more.
I really enjoy forging, so knife making comes easily and is a quick project compared to a gun. I can make a specific knife for you or you can choose from those in the Gallery.
Call me with your ideas or fax a drawing of what you want and I will give you a quote. I also can provide hand-forged blades and materials for those who like to make their own knives. The turn around time is only two (2) weeks or so on knives and hawks. I like to take a break from gun building now and then.

Swords
I've been doing some swords lately and here are two examples. Both of these have layered Damascus steel blades, although the more common blade would be high carbon 5160 steel.
Knights Templar Sword: my interpretation of a sword the Templars could have carried.....there is no one sword documented as being used by the Templars, so we must study swords of the period.
Scottish Highlander Sword: a shortened version of the famed Highlander sword. The originals were usually very long bladed (42"-46"), my blade is a shorter and non-traditional shaped Damscus blade. I love the Highlander guards, this one is earlier styled with the nearly perpendicular (to the blade) arms......later styled guards had the arms straight and at a pronounced angle to the blade.
Scottish Basket Hilt Damascus Sword: This 35" layered Damacus steel blade is fullered with a wide central groove flanked by a narrow deep groove on each side. The Basket is made from several hand-forged pieces which are forge-welded together into a protective shield for the hand. Inspired by an original sword in a friend's collection......$2650.00
Medieval Sword .....$1850
